HOLISTIC ASSESSMENT · IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL
Muscle Response Testing
A powerful biofeedback tool used to uncover what your body truly needs — available in person or from anywhere in the world through distance testing.
Your Body Has the Answers. This Is How We Listen.
Muscle Response Testing — also known as Applied Kinesiology or muscle testing — is a form of biofeedback rooted in the science of the central nervous system. The body communicates through muscle strength and weakness, signaling what is beneficial and what is creating imbalance.
Pioneered by Dr. George Goodheart, DC in the 1960s and refined by Dr. John Diamond into Behavioural Kinesiology, this technique has been used by integrative health practitioners worldwide to uncover nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, organ imbalances, emotional blocks, and much more.
Nadine uses Muscle Response Testing as a core assessment tool within her integrative health practice — alongside functional lab testing — to build personalized natural wellness protocols that address the root cause, not just the symptom.
- Identify nutritional deficiencies and excesses
- Uncover food sensitivities and intolerances
- Assess organ and gland function
- Test supplement and herb compatibility
- Identify emotional and subconscious blocks
- Build targeted natural wellness protocols
- Available in person and via distance testing
How the Nervous System Communicates Through Muscle Response
The central nervous system turns muscles on and off constantly — this is the body's primary language. When a stimulus is introduced, the CNS evaluates it at a level far below conscious thought and signals its response through the muscles.
A strong muscle response signals "yes" — the stimulus is beneficial. A weak response signals "no" — the body is identifying an imbalance, sensitivity, or incongruence. This binary language is simple, consistent, and profoundly informative.
Distance testing works through the body's information field — the practitioner's nervous system acts as the instrument, connected through focused intention to the client's field regardless of physical location.
SESSION OPTIONS
In-Person & Virtual Sessions
Choose the format that works best for you. Both options deliver the same depth of assessment and personalized protocol.
Classic Muscle Response Assessment
Conducted in person using the traditional arm test method. You extend your arm and Nadine applies gentle, consistent pressure while introducing stimuli — supplements, foods, organ test points — to map what your body needs and where imbalances are present.
Distance Muscle Response Testing
Available to clients worldwide. Through focused intention and the body's information field, Nadine connects with you remotely and conducts a full muscle response assessment — with the same depth and accuracy as an in-person session. No travel required.
WHAT WE TEST
A Complete Picture of What Your Body Needs
Muscle Response Testing can uncover a wide range of imbalances and provide direction for a truly personalized natural health protocol.
Vitamins & Minerals
Identify specific deficiencies in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and essential nutrients that are affecting your energy, immunity, and overall function.
Foods & Intolerances
Test individual foods, food groups, and common allergens to identify which items are creating inflammation, digestive stress, or immune activation in your body.
Organ & Gland Function
Assess the energetic strength of key organs and glands — liver, thyroid, adrenals, gut, kidneys, lymph — and identify areas needing targeted support.
Protocol Compatibility
Test whether specific supplements, herbal formulas, and remedies are compatible with your body right now — and identify the right dosage for your individual needs.
Subconscious Blocks
Explore how stored emotions, limiting beliefs, and unresolved patterns are affecting your physical health — and identify where healing work can create the most transformation.
Cleansing Protocol Fit
Determine whether your body is ready for a cleansing or detox protocol and which specific herbs, binders, and drainage support are most appropriate right now.

No Matter Where You Are — Your Body Can Be Heard
Distance Muscle Response Testing is one of the most remarkable applications of this work. Through the body's information field and focused practitioner intention, a full assessment can be conducted for any client anywhere in the world — with the same depth and accuracy as an in-person session.
This also means that children, infants, elderly clients, and even pets can be assessed through surrogate testing — making this an incredibly versatile tool for families and practitioners.

Your Questions Answered
Is Muscle Response Testing scientific?
Yes. Muscle testing has been studied since the 1960s, beginning with Dr. George Goodheart's work in Applied Kinesiology. It is grounded in the science of the central nervous system — the body's biofeedback mechanism that communicates through muscle strength and weakness in response to stimuli.
How can distance testing work if I am not physically present?
Distance testing accesses the body's information field rather than the physical body alone. Through focused practitioner intention and a conscious connection to the client, the practitioner's own nervous system acts as the instrument and reads the client's field. Many experienced practitioners find distance testing to be equally accurate as in-person work.
Can my child or pet be tested?
Yes. Through surrogate testing, a parent or owner can act as the physical conduit for their child or pet's information field. This is one of the most common and effective applications of distance muscle testing — ideal for infants, young children, and animals who cannot be tested directly.
What should I expect after my session?
After your session, you will receive a written personalized wellness protocol outlining the specific supplements, herbal supports, dietary adjustments, and recommendations identified through your testing. Nadine will walk you through the protocol and answer any questions before you leave or end the call.
How is this different from functional lab testing?
Functional lab testing (through Rupa Health) provides measurable biochemical data from your blood, urine, hair, or stool. Muscle Response Testing accesses the nervous system's real-time biofeedback — including areas that lab tests do not measure, such as supplement compatibility, emotional patterns, and energetic imbalances. Many clients benefit from using both together for the most complete picture of their health.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients begin with one full assessment session and return for a follow-up 4–6 weeks later to reassess their protocol as the body shifts and heals. The number of sessions varies depending on your health goals and the complexity of what you are addressing.
Is this a substitute for medical care?
No. Muscle Response Testing is a holistic wellness assessment tool and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace medical care. Nadine works within her scope as a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner. Always consult with your licensed healthcare provider for medical concerns.
