Do I need a doctor's order to get these tests?
No. As your practitioner, I order the tests directly through Rupa Health on your behalf. No physician referral, no waiting for an appointment, no convincing anyone you need it.
What if my results come back showing something serious?
If anything in your results requires a physician's care, I'll tell you directly and help you understand what to bring to your doctor. Functional testing is an assessment tool, not a substitute for medical care — and I'll never leave you holding a result you don't understand.
Does insurance cover these panels?
Most functional lab tests are not covered by insurance and are paid out of pocket. However, many are eligible for FSA and HSA reimbursement.
How do I receive my results?
Results are delivered directly to your Rupa Health patient portal. We then schedule a results review session to walk through everything together and build your protocol — so you're never reading them alone.
Can I order more than one panel?
Yes — and many clients benefit from combining panels. A gut health panel alongside a food sensitivity test, for example, gives a much more complete picture than either alone. We can talk through which combination makes sense for what you're navigating.
